ITSA® Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms
 

By purchasing, accessing, registering for, or participating in any ITSA® certification program, assessment, digital resource, or related service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms apply to all candidates, purchasers, users, and credential holders unless otherwise stated in writing by ITSA®.
 

ITSA® may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the ITSA® website will apply from its stated effective date.
 

2. Certification Programs & Digital Materials
 

ITSA® certification programs may include digital study materials, knowledge resources, candidate guidance, assessments, digital certificates, badges, credential verification services, and related resources.

Candidates who purchase an eligible certification program receive lifetime access to the digital study materials associated with that purchase.

Lifetime access refers to continued access to the applicable study content for the lifetime of the relevant ITSA® program or resource, subject to reasonable changes in technology, delivery method, platform, file format, or access procedure.
 

ITSA® may migrate, replace, redesign, reorganize, update, or reissue digital materials or delivery platforms without affecting the candidate's underlying access entitlement.
 

Candidates may be required to contact ITSA® to restore or reissue access credentials where access details have been lost, changed, or replaced.
 

3. Enrollment & Candidate Access
 

Access to certification materials, assessments, or third-party platforms may be issued after successful payment, eligibility confirmation where applicable, and completion of required registration information.

Candidates are responsible for providing accurate and complete information.

Access credentials are personal to the registered candidate and may not be transferred, shared, sold, or provided to another person.
 

ITSA® may require reasonable identity or candidate verification where necessary to protect the integrity of its certification process.
 

4. Payments & Non-Refundable Policy
 

All certification fees, assessment fees, digital-content fees, and related payments are non-refundable once candidate access, digital study materials, assessment access, or third-party platform access has been issued or activated.
 

This policy applies because ITSA® certification services may involve immediate provision of digital content, administrative processing, candidate registration, assessment setup, credentialing infrastructure, and services provided through third-party platforms.
 

Failure to access, download, review, or use materials after access has been issued does not create an entitlement to a refund.
 

Failure to complete or pass an assessment does not create an entitlement to a refund.

Changes in personal circumstances, employment status, career plans, availability, or decision not to proceed with the certification do not create an entitlement to a refund.

Nothing in this section is intended to restrict any non-waivable rights that may apply under applicable law.
 

5. Online Assessments
 

ITSA® assessments are designed to evaluate professional knowledge, applied judgment, decision-making, and competency within Technical Sales and Sales Engineering disciplines.

Assessment structure, passing requirements, duration, question format, permitted resources, and number of attempts may vary by certification, level, specialization, or program.

Where permitted by the applicable assessment instructions, candidates may refer to authorized study materials during the assessment.
 

Candidates remain responsible for completing assessments personally and independently.
 

Candidates must not:
 

• Allow another person to complete an assessment on their behalf

• Complete an assessment on behalf of another candidate

• Share assessment login credentials

• Copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, or disclose assessment questions

• Attempt to interfere with, manipulate, or compromise an assessment system

• Misrepresent their identity or candidate information
   

ITSA® may refuse to issue a credential where there is reasonable evidence that certification requirements were not completed by the registered candidate or that the assessment process was materially compromised.
 

6. Candidate Responsibilities
 

Candidates are responsible for:

• Reviewing applicable certification and assessment requirements

• Ensuring that registration information is accurate

• Maintaining access to their registered email account

• Protecting candidate usernames, passwords, and access links

• Completing assessments within any applicable access period

• Reviewing relevant study and preparation materials

• Complying with published candidate and assessment instructions

• Maintaining the confidentiality of assessment content
   

Candidates are responsible for determining whether a particular ITSA® certification is suitable for their own professional, educational, or career objectives.
 

7. Intellectual Property & Acceptable Use
 

ITSA® study materials, TSBOK® content, assessment materials, certification frameworks, badges, certificates, logos, graphics, digital resources, and other proprietary materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
 

Purchasing or receiving access to ITSA® materials provides the candidate with a personal, non-transferable right to use those materials for individual learning, preparation, certification, and professional reference.

Candidates may not, without prior written authorization from ITSA®:
 

• Resell or commercially distribute ITSA® materials

• Upload ITSA® materials to public or shared repositories

• Reproduce substantial portions of protected materials for distribution

• Sell or provide unauthorized access to study resources

• Copy or distribute assessment questions

• Modify ITSA® credentials in a misleading manner

• Use ITSA® branding in a manner that falsely suggests partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, or authorization
   

Reasonable personal reference and study use is permitted.
 

8. Credential Issuance & Use
 

ITSA® credentials are issued to candidates who successfully satisfy the applicable certification requirements.

Credentials may include digital certificates, digital badges, credential IDs, QR verification, and online verification records.
 

Credential holders may accurately represent the certification, level, and specialization awarded to them.

Credential holders must not alter or misrepresent:
 

• Their name

• Certification title

• Certification level

• Specialization

• Credential ID

• Issue information

• Verification information
   

ITSA® certification does not constitute a government-issued professional license and does not authorize the holder to practice a regulated profession where separate licensing is required.

Certification does not guarantee employment, promotion, salary increase, professional recognition, commercial success, or acceptance by any specific employer, organization, regulator, or jurisdiction.
 

9. Program, Content & Platform Updates
 

ITSA® continuously develops and updates its certification programs and professional resources.

ITSA® may update or modify:

• Study materials

• TSBOK® content

• Syllabi

• Certification frameworks

• Assessment formats

• Question structures

• Candidate instructions

• Digital certificates and badges

• Verification systems

• Website features

• Delivery platforms

• Third-party technology providers
   

Updates may include editorial improvements, visual redesigns, rebranding, technical changes, structural changes, or professional-content updates.
 

Such updates do not, by themselves, create an entitlement to a refund where the purchased certification service or equivalent access remains available.
 

10. Third-Party Services & Platforms
 

ITSA® may use third-party providers to support payments, assessments, credential delivery, communications, hosting, file delivery, verification, or other operational functions.
 

The availability and performance of such services may be affected by systems outside ITSA®'s direct control.

ITSA® does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party platforms and is not responsible for temporary outages, technical failures, maintenance periods, service changes, or other disruptions caused by third-party providers.
 

Where reasonably possible, ITSA® may provide alternative access, replacement credentials, or reasonable assistance where a third-party interruption materially affects a candidate's access to an ITSA® service.

Use of third-party services may also be subject to the applicable provider's own terms, privacy practices, and policies.
 

11. Suspension of Access
 

ITSA® may suspend or restrict access to materials, assessments, systems, or services where reasonably necessary due to:
 

• Unauthorized sharing or resale of materials

• Sharing of candidate access credentials

• Fraudulent payment activity

• Unauthorized system access

• Abuse or misuse of ITSA® platforms

• Distribution of confidential assessment content

• Material violation of these Terms
   

Where appropriate, ITSA® may request additional information or verification before restoring access.
 

12. Limitation of Liability
 

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ITSA® and its affiliates shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, professional, employment-related, or commercial losses arising from or related to:
 

• Participation in an ITSA® certification program

• Failure to pass or complete an assessment

• Reliance on study or website information

• Employment, promotion, hiring, compensation, or career decisions

• Decisions made by employers, institutions, regulators, or other third parties

• Temporary website or platform interruptions

• Third-party technology failures

• Loss of access caused by incorrect candidate information or compromised login credentials

• Changes to delivery platforms, assessment systems, or digital formats
   

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
 

13. No Guarantee of Professional Outcomes
 

ITSA® certifications are designed to assess and recognize professional knowledge and capability.

ITSA® does not guarantee that obtaining a certification will result in:

• Employment

• Promotion

• Increased compensation

• Employer acceptance

• Regulatory recognition

• Business opportunities

• Commercial results

• Immigration or licensing eligibility
   

Professional outcomes depend on many factors outside ITSA®'s control, including individual experience, employer requirements, market conditions, jurisdiction, performance, and other qualifications.
 

14. Severability
 

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable in a particular jurisdiction, that provision shall be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
 

15. Changes to These Terms
 

ITSA® may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in its certification programs, operational processes, technology, policies, or applicable requirements.

Updated Terms will become effective when published on the ITSA® website unless otherwise stated.

Continued use of ITSA® services after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by applicable law.
